New Richmond Amsoil Sand Box

A field of 24 Legends gathered to compete at Amsoil
Sand Box Arena on March 29th and 30th.
The top six Wisconsin Legend finished from the Dirt
Nationals were invited to attend the New Richmond Amsoil Sand Box
Arena indoor race track. Eric Barth, Tom Hunter, Joey Johnson,
Brian Peterson, Joel & Bethany Wittenbach represented Wisconsin
along with Warren Ropp from Iowa as part of the Charter Raceway Park
Dirt Legends group.
This 1/5 mile sandy racing surface proved to make
for some exciting cold weather racing. Brian Peterson held off
stiff competition from Bethany Wittenbach to score his first Legend
win.
As always the Wisconsin Dirt Legend drivers showed
outstanding style and sportsmanship. The wives of the group
are also to be commended for not only their support for their
drivers, but also for their work out in the cold to check air
pressure, fuel cars, tape fenders, you name it! All in all it
was a great weekend of racing especially with it only being March!
